26 Ambulance Drivers trained in Zambia

The training team from eRanger has just returned from a successful mission to train twenty six Ambulance drivers in Lusaka.

The Unicef funded program in conjunction with the Ministry Of Health is for the deployment in three districts of Zambia, with further districts to be added in the following months.

Twenty four of the trainees had no previous motorcycle experience, but within the first twelve hours were driving with confidence. The training also included how to maintain their Ambulances, with routine daily checks and carry out regular servicing.

The initial training was carried out at the Ministry of Health Headquarters. And with the assistance of the Ministries transport managers and the Zambia motorsports club we were able to use the excellent facilities of the off road competition track in the capital. This was a demanding track with the terrain conditions very similar that will be found in the deployment areas.
